PROSEIKI Y axis CNC lathes cnc machine
The first NC machines were built in the 1940s and 1950s, based on existing tools that were modified with motors that moved the controls to follow points fed into the system on punched tape. These early servomechanisms were rapidly augmented with analog and digital computers, creating the modern CNC machine tools that have revolutionized the machining processes.

Modern CNC mills differ little in concept from the original model built at MIT in 1952. Mills typically consist of a table that moves in the X and Y axes, and a tool spindle that moves in the Z (depth). The position of the tool is driven by motors through a series of step-down gears in order to provide highly accurate movements, or in modern designs, direct-drive stepper motor or servo motors. Open-loop control works as long as the forces are kept small enough and speeds are not too great. On commercial metalworking machines closed loop controls are standard and required in order to provide the accuracy, speed, and repeatability demanded.

Online bullying has hit the headlines in recent months and new figures suggest that one in four children know someone who has been bullied on the internet or via a mobile phone during the summer holidays.
Researchers from the Diana Award anti-bullying charity also found more than four in five young people believe that the problem is getting worse.
Breakfast's Graham Satchell went to meet Kate Watson, who was bullied physically at school and then later by pupils using a social media site. She tried to take her own life but has since recovered, left school and is working.
Chesapeake Bay Bridge: Saving drivers too scared to cross
Millions of Americans will be on the road heading back from the beach on the Labor Day holiday, which marks the end of summer in the US.
For those in the state of Maryland, that journey may involve driving across the long and notoriously nerve-racking Chesapeake Bay Bridge, ranked as one of the scariest in the world to cross.
The trip is too much for some motorists, who pay someone else to drive them and their cars across the water.
The BBC spent the day with Brittney Manzoni, a driver with Kent Island Express, to find out what gives the bridge its fearsome reputation.

Algerian gas plant siege: 'I was right next to the bomb'
The survivors of January's siege of an Algerian gas plant still cannot believe they are alive. Forty of their colleagues died when Islamic militants took them hostage earlier this year. The Algerian army opened fire on the convoy of hostages and terrorists as they broke out of the plant. It is only now that some have felt able to tell their stories.
BP project general manager, Nick Hitch, was in the living quarters when he was seized by terrorists searching room by room for expat workers.
As the siege reached crisis point, Mr Hitch and his colleague JoJo Balmaceda, a BP construction worker, were among three dozen hostages loaded onto jeeps by terrorists.
The terrorists had put a bomb in every vehicle and as they drove out of the plant army helicopter gunships opened fire on the convoy of five vehicles.
Mr Hitch's vehicle hit a ridge and rolled over and the terrorist sitting next to him detonated a bomb. Out of 35 hostages who got into the cars only Mr Hitch, Mr Balmaceda and two others survived.
